Cambodian Police are investigating the death of two foreigners after their bodies were found in a hostel in Kampot on Monday, November 13, 2017.
According to reports, the bodies of a 27-year-old Winnipeg woman and a 22-year-old woman from Britain were found at the Monkey Republic Guesthouse.
Abby Gail Amisola a Winnipeg teacher and her friend Natalie Jade Seymour were pronounced dead in hospital.
A preliminary investigation indicates that the pair were suffering from diarrhoea and vomiting and went to a local pharmacy in Kampot. Police in Cambodia believe the women took too much medication which led to their deaths.

Officials from Global Affairs Canada are in contact with authorities in Cambodia and are providing consular assistance.
British officials are also in contact with authorities and they say that the deaths are not suspicious. A forensic examination is being performed by Cambodian officials to determine the exact cause of death.
