Winnipeg woman facing a number charges related to providing sex services

Winnipeg Police Service investigators have charged a 31-year-old Winnipeg woman in connection to an investigation into sex services being provided in several apartment suites under the guise of massage services.

Police say they began the investigation in response to online advertising. Investigators say a number of women in their 20s were recruited to provide sexual services in various apartment suites around the city. Although the women were promised income from their employer, they only received a small portion of the fees charged for their services.

Police executed search warrants at a number of apartment suites throughout the city as well as at a home in Elmwood.

The accused female was charged for her alleged involvement with three counts of  Procuring Person to Provide Sexual Services, Material Benefit from Sexual Services, Advertising Sexual Services and Possession of Scheduled Substance – Cocaine.

She was given a release order as mandated by the Criminal Code.
