Winnipeg Woman Dies After Pedestrian Collision on Maryland and Notre Dame

A 57-year-old woman has died following a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Maryland Street and Notre Dame Avenue on Friday night.

The Winnipeg Police Service responded to reports of the collision involving a pedestrian at approximately 10:30 p.m. on February 28, 2025. Upon arrival, officers found the female pedestrian suffering from critical injuries.

She was immediately transported to hospital, but sadly died from her injuries.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with police.

The Winnipeg Police Service’s Traffic Division has taken over the investigation. No charges have been laid at this point in the investigation

Police are asking the public for any information that may assist in their investigation. They are specifically requesting anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have video or dash camera footage of the incident to come forward.
