Winnipeg Woman Charged in String of Break-ins and Arson, Causing Over $70,000 in Losses

A 23-year-old Winnipeg woman is facing multiple charges after a series of break-ins and an arson incident that terrorized residents in the city’s east district throughout March.

According to Winnipeg Police Service, Raven Davianna Beasley has been charged in connection with two residential break-ins, ten detached garage break-ins, and the arson of one of those garages, all occurring between March 13 and March 31, 2025.

The spree began on March 13, when Beasley allegedly broke into a detached garage on the 400 block of Larsen Avenue, stealing approximately $700 worth of property. Over the following weeks, she is accused of targeting numerous residences and garages in the 400 and 300 blocks of various east district avenues.

On March 20, Beasley allegedly entered a residence on the 400 block of Jamison Avenue while the occupants slept, though nothing was reported stolen. Later that same day, she allegedly stole over $5,000 worth of property from a home on the 400 block of Ottawa Avenue. Several other garage break-ins on March 20 resulted in both failed theft attempts and the successful theft of approximately $5,000 worth of property from a garage located on the 400 block of Winterton Avenue.

The most severe incident occurred on March 22, when Beasley allegedly broke into a detached garage on the 300 block of Ottawa Avenue, stealing approximately $500 worth of property. She then allegedly set fire to the garage. The resulting blaze destroyed the garage, a 2023 Hyundai Tucson, and various other items, causing an estimated $60,000 in damage. Later that evening, she was located hiding in the 300 block of Winterton Avenue by a resident, and police found items consistent with starting a fire.

The spree concluded in the early hours of March 31, with break-ins at multiple garages on the 300 and 200 blocks of Chelsea and Bronx Avenues, resulting in approximately $1,000 in stolen property. An alarm triggered by one of the Chelsea Avenue break-ins led to police intervention. With the assistance of Air1 and the K9 Unit, Beasley was apprehended near the intersection of Melborne Avenue and Brazier Street.

In total, victims reported approximately $12,000 in stolen property, and $60,000 in damage from the arson. The property damage from the other break and enters is still being assessed by the homeowners.

Beasley has been charged for her alleged involvement with:

  • Break Enter & Theft – Place x 5
  • Break & Enter with Intent – Place x 5
  • Break Enter & Theft – Dwelling House
  • Break & Enter with Intent – Dwelling House
  • Arson Causing Damage to Property

She has been detained in custody.
