Winnipeg woman charged after Brandon police find $50K of Meth

Members of Brandon Police Service Organized Crime Section apprehended a 40-year-old woman from Winnipeg on Thursday, June 18, 2020.

Police say the woman was spotted in the 1400 block of 4th Street and they attempted to place her under arrest.

Officers chased her on foot for a short distance and eventually were able to place her in custody. She was wanted on two outstanding warrants, one from the Winnipeg Police Service and one from Selkirk RCMP.

Officers search the woman after her arrest and found 18 ounces of Methamphetamine in her possession. The illegal drug has a street value of more than $50,000.

The woman was not named by police but has been charged for her alleged involvement with ossession of Meth for trafficking as well as warrant charges of possession for trafficking and breach of recognizance.
