Winnipeg Whiteout Street Parties a go!

Winnipeg will once again be hosting the best playoff party in the NHL at every home game.

Unlike last year which was a free event, this year organizers are charging a $5.00 entry fee. All money raised will go to the United Way and is earmarked for addiction, homelessness and mental health programs.

“We are excited to build on the success of last year’s Street Parties and present an even better fan experience this year,” said Kevin Donnelly, Senior Vice-President, Venues & Entertainment, True North Sports + Entertainment. “As well as creating a community to celebrate together downtown, we are especially pleased to make this bigger than hockey by driving awareness and funds to deserving organizations across the city.”

Tickets for the street parties will be available through Ticketmaster or the Bell MTS Place box office. There is a limit of four tickets per person.

The street parties will begin 2 hours before puck drop and will feature large video screens, food trucks, beverage vendors and music.

There will also be an alcohol-free Family zone set up once again beside the Millennium Library with room for up to 4,000 fans.

The excitement keeps going during the playoffs with viewing parties at Bell MTS Place during every away game. Tickets for the viewing parties are $10.00 with the proceeds going to the True North Youth Foundation.
