A 47-year-old truck driver from Winnipeg has died after being hit by a truck on Highway 3 on April 3, 2023.
RCMP say that the victim had been driving a semi-truck when it entered a ditch on Highway 3 about two kilometres north of Highway 14. The driver got out of the truck and was standing on the passenger side of the cab when a deck truck also lost control on the ice-covered highway and entered the ditch hitting the victim. The driver of the deck truck was not injured.
The driver of the semi was taken to hospital where he died from his injuries.
