The City of Winnipeg announced on Friday July 17, 2020, that they are recalling 120 Winnipeg Transit Operators and 41 Operators-in-training who were previously laid off due to COVID-19.
The city says they need the drivers back as the prepare to return to regular summer schedule effective August 2, 2020.

Transit is recommending the use of non-medical masks while on city busses but note their use will not be enforced by transit operators or inspectors.
Travellers are also asked to avoid using the bus if that are experiencing flu-like symptoms.
