The Winnipeg School Division by-election for wards 3 and 4 has officially been cancelled.
Originally the by-election had been scheduled for March 21, 2020 but due to concerns over COVID-19 it was suspended days earlier.
Under the Municipal Councils and School Boards Elections Act polls that had been suspended must re-open within seven days of Election Day or the results become invalid and a new election must be held.
No date has been released on when a new by-election will be held.
