Albert Paupanakis says that his recent lottery windfall will allow him to fulfill a dream.
“I’ve never had the opportunity to buy a home,” he said. “This changes my life.”
Paupanakis had purchased a “Big Spin” lottery scratch and win ticket when he was travelling through Gladstone one day. When he got home to Winnipeg he scratched the ticket and found he had a “spin” win.
He went to a store to check his ticket and was told he had won $10,000 but he also noticed on the ticket he had won a big spin.
“I was happy with $10,000; I couldn’t believe when I found out how much more I could win!” he laughed.
At the big spin event he spun the wheel and it landed on $175,000.
