Manitoba Justice says that a 62-year-old male who was in custody at the Winnipeg Remand Centre has died.
Officials have released very little information about the death citing privacy reasons but they did say the inmate died in hospital on June 5, 2020.
The death was reported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and a review of the incident will be conducted by Manitoba Justice.
