The City of Winnipeg is hand delivering notices to 123 properties that may be required to build sandbag dikes as the rivers begin to rise.

The properties in question will be surveyed by city crews to determine where the best location is to build a dike if it is needed. Affected property owners will be given further instructions directly from the city.

If you have not received a letter but believe your property is at risk of river flooding you can call 311.

For property owners worried about overland flooding the city is making sandbags available at three locations between 8:00 am and 6:00pm
