Police are asking for the public’s help in locating 22-year-old Tresor Horimbere in connection with the July 13, 2024, homicide of Mohamed Yusuf Abdullahi. Abdullahi, 22, was fatally shot in the parking lot of a soccer complex in the 900 block of Waverley Street following a game.

Investigators have already made two arrests in the case. 26-year-old Ibrahim Bangura was arrested in Winnipeg on January 20, 2025, and 27-year-old Norbert Kipala was arrested at the Thunder Bay Correctional Centre on February 5, 2025, where he was being held on unrelated charges. Both Bangura and Kipala are charged with First Degree Murder.

Horimbere is described as a Black male, approximately 5’8” tall with a slim build and weighing approximately 120 lbs. He may be in Ontario. A warrant for First Degree Murder has been issued for his arrest. Police consider Horimbere armed and dangerous and advise the public not to approach him if encountered.
The shooting occurred at approximately 11:47 p.m. on July 13, 2024. Abdullahi had just finished playing soccer and was leaving the event when he was shot. Police have stated that they do not believe it was a random shooting. Approximately 100 spectators were present at the game.
