The Winnipeg Police Service’s Homicide Unit is appealing to the public for assistance in solving two unrelated homicides that took place in February 2024.
Seeking Persons of Interest
On February 3, 2024, Charles Danny Chartrand, 43, was found critically injured from a stabbing at a residence on the 200 block of Fountain Street. Despite efforts to save him, Chartrand later succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators have since obtained surveillance images of two individuals seen in the vicinity. The Homicide Unit believes these individuals may possess crucial information related to the case and is urging the public to help identify them.

Wanted for Second Degree Murder
In a separate case, a warrant for Second Degree Murder was issued in April for Tyron Custer Harper, 30, in connection with the February 25th homicide of Kevin Delaney Flett, 26.
Flett, a member of the St. Theresa Point First Nation, was living in Winnipeg when he was fatally injured near Maryland Street and Wellington Avenue. Police have identified Harper as a suspect and are actively searching for him.
Harper is considered dangerous, and the public is advised not to approach him. Anyone with information regarding Harper’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Homicide Unit at 204-986-6508 or to provide information anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS or via winnipegcrimestoppers.org.
