On Thursday, September 22, 2022, Manitoba RCMP executed a search warrant on a home in Ile-des-Chenes after receiving several complaints from the RCMP National Child Exploitation Crime Centre regarding the possession of child pornography in the community.

The Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) along with the RCMP Digital Forensics Services Unit searched the home and arrested 39-year-old Yvan Corriveau.

Corriveau is a 15-year member of the Winnipeg Police Service.

RCMP say that Corriveau was charged for his alleged involvement with Possession of Child Pornography, Accessing Child Pornography, Make Available Child Pornography, Make Written Child Pornography.

He was released by a judge on a release order.

Winnipeg Police say that on Friday, September 23, they learned that Corriveau was found dead and that his death is not considered to be criminal in nature.

The Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba has been notified
