A Winnipeg police officer is facing charges for assault, Mischief Under $5,000 and Possession of a Scheduled Substance (Psilocybin).
RCMP in Selkirk responded to a report of an assault at a home in the RM of St. Andrews on April 22, 2021. The 28-year-old officer was off-duty at the time of the incident and was arrested at the home for his alleged involvement.
He was released on an undertaking.
RCMP notified the Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba. They will be monitoring the investigation.
