On October 31, 2024, at approximately 3:10 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a report of suspicious circumstances involving an unresponsive female in the first 100 block of The Promenade. Central District General Patrol officers arrived at the scene and found a female suffering from life-threatening injuries. They provided emergency medical care, and the female was transported to the hospital in critical condition, where she was pronounced deceased.
The Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation and identified the victim as 28-year-old Briannah Clowes of Winnipeg. Notifications to her family have been made. The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made so far.
