On the morning of July 5, 2024, the Winnipeg Police Service was called to a scene on the 300 block of Kennedy Street following reports of a deceased individual under suspicious circumstances.
At approximately 7:20 a.m., officers arrived at the location and initiated an investigation. The nature of the death was deemed suspicious, prompting the involvement of the Homicide Unit.
The deceased has been identified as Ashley Isabella Murdock, a 28-year-old resident of Winnipeg, originally from Fisher River and Jackhead First Nation. Family members have been notified.
The Winnipeg Police Service is now appealing to the public for assistance in the ongoing investigation. They are urging anyone with information related to the incident, including potential video surveillance, to come forward.
