On November 7, at approximately 10:00 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a report of an adult male who had been stabbed in the 1800 block of Ellice Avenue. West District General Patrol officers arrived at the scene and found a 47-year-old male suffering from life-threatening injuries. Officers provided emergency medical attention before the victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced deceased.
A 42-year-old male suspect was located nearby and arrested without incident. The Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation, and notification to the victim’s family is pending.
