Winnipeg Police announced that former Police Service Dog Nero passed away on on Tuesday, April 5, 2022.
Nero was certified in Explosive Detection May 2017 and received certification with the National Order Recognition Testing program through the Department of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) in the United States.
Nero had been paired with Sgt. Shawn Lowry and retired from the Winnipeg Police Service on March 11, 2022.
