A collision involving a Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) cruiser and a school bus carrying approximately 15 elementary-aged children occurred at the intersection of Provencher Boulevard and Rue St. Jean Baptiste on Friday, February 21, 2025, at approximately 4:00 p.m.
According to the WPS, one child was assessed by paramedics at the scene and cleared. The students were safely transferred to another school bus shortly after the incident.
A WPS officer involved in the collision sustained minor injuries but did not require further medical attention.
The Winnipeg Police Service has not yet released further details regarding the circumstances of the collision.
