Winnipeg Police have arrested 34-year-old Alvin Joseph Glen Nelson in connection to the killing of 30-year-old Russel Gibeault.
Nelson was taken down in the South end of the city by investigators on Wednesday afternoon.
Police have charged Nelson for his alleged involvement with Second Degree Murder. He has been detained in custody.
Gibeault and Nelson had become involved in a fight at a home on Agnes Street just north of Ellice Avenue late in the afternoon on Friday, March 12, 2021.
Officers located Gibeault after the assault suffering from serious injuries. He was rushed to hospital but did not survive.
A Canada-wide arrest warrant was issued for Nelson.
