Mayor Brian Bowman has made a number of additional Council appointments on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, following the civic election in October.
The appointments follow a series of meetings the mayor had with new and returning councillors about their priorities for the city. The mayor says that these meetings helped him make decisions about the appointments.
“These appointments and the roles they play reflect the significant opportunities to engage with a diverse community as well as meet the needs of governing a growing city,” said Bowman. “These appointments fulfil important governance and leadership roles, and provide Council with strategic opportunities to meaningfully engage with residents, community groups, organizations, as well as other governments.”
