Winnipeg man facing charges after allegedly stabbing three people within seven hours

A 29-year-old man has been charged after he allegedly stabbed three males in separate incidents within seven hours on August 15, 2022.

According to police Hossam Al-Kinani began his stabbing spree around 12:30 pm when he confronted a man in his 40s, yelled a racial slur, then without provocation stabbed the victim in the lower body. Al-Kinani then rode away on a bicycle.

Two-and-a-half hours later in the 100 block of Disraeli Freeway a second man in his 40s was stabbed by the suspect on a bicycle. This time the victim was stabbed in the abdomen. He was taken to hospital in unstable condition but later upgraded to stable.

Around 7:30 pm a third male in hie 40s was stabbed in the arm in the 2300 block of Main Street. The victim was taken to hospital in stable condition.

Officers found the suspect nearby and took him into custody.

Al-Kinani faces a number of weapon-related offences for his alleged involvement including  two counts of Assault with a Weapon and two counts of Possession of a Weapon.

He remains in custody
