A 43-year-old man has been charged with child pornography offences after a female came forward in early September and identified herself in images that had been posted online without her consent. The victim told police that the images were taken by the accused when she was sixteen or seventeen.
In May 2022, the same man was charged with Publication of an Intimate Image Without Consent for his alleged involvement in a separate case involving a different female victim.
David Alexander Zegarac was arrested on October 1, 2022. Police say that while he was being detained he became “extremely uncooperative” and a taser was used to subdue him. During the altercation, an investigator sustained a minor injury to the upper body but did not require medical attention.
Zegarac has been charged for his alleged involvement with Makes, Prints, Publishes or Possess for the Purpose of Publication any Child Pornography, Possession of Child Pornography, Luring a Child Under 18 Years of Age, Imports, Distributes, Sells or Possess for the Purpose of Distribution or Sale any Child Pornography, Publication of an Intimate Image Without Consent and Resist Peace Officer.
He was released on an Undertaking with conditions.
