Winnipeg man charged with killing his younger brother

Police are investigating a homicide after a 29-year-old male was stabbed during fight on Friday evening, May 28, 2021.

Officers were called to a residential building in the 500 block of Elgin Avenue around 8:24 pm. When they arrived they found the unresponsive victim and began emergency first-aid as they waited for paramedics to arrive. The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition but soon died from his injuries.

Police identified the victim as Logan Harold Flett.

Investigators believe that he victim and his brother were involved in a physical altercation that escalated to a stabbing.

32-year-old Russell John Adam Flett has been charged for his alleged involvement with Manslaughter, Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order. Fail to Comply with Probation Order.

He was detained in custody.
