Manitoba RCMP say a 39-year-old Winnipeg man is facing charges after he refused to wear a mask on a flight from Vancouver and Winnipeg on June 22, 2020.
Police say they were alerted by the flight crew that the male had refused to were his face mask when directed to do so during the flight.
This is the second time in recent days that police have charged a passenger in Winnipeg for refusing to wear a mask on a plane.
Theman is facing charges for his alleged refusal of Fail to Comply with instructions of flight crew (refusal to wear face mask) Section 18 No. 10 Interim Order to Prevent Certain Persons from Boarding Flights in Canada due to Covid 19.
The accused could also be fined up to $5,000.
Under the interim orders anyone travelling through a Canadian airport or while in-flight must wear a face mask.
