ICE Unit adds charges to child pornographer
Winnipeg Police’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) has arrested a Winnipeg man in a cross-border case of child sexual abuse.
Police were tipped off and stated investigating the case after the National Centre for Missing Exploited Children brought to their attention child sexual abuse images that had originated from a Winnipeg based IP address.
The ICE investigation lead them to a Winnipeg home in November 2016 where they found child sexual abuse images involving victims as young as eight months old. As a result, Greg Alan Jamieson, 45 was arrested and charged for his alleged involvement with Possessing and Making Child Sexual Abuse Images.

On March 27, 2017 after continuing their lengthy investigation ICE investigators found evidence that revealed a communication was established, through a popular instant messaging/live-streaming app, with an unidentified male suspect located in the United States. This suspect was live streaming the sexual assault of a 6-year-old child in his care. The investigation indicated that the American suspect was being directed to commit various sexual assaults against the child by an individual in Winnipeg.
As a result Jaimisson was arrested and charged with the following offences for his alleged involvement
- Make Child Pornography
- Sexual Interference
- Agreement or Arrangement Sexual Offence Against a Child (Child Exploitation)
- Agreement or Arrangement Sexual Offence Against a Child (Make Child Pornography)
Winnipeg Police are working with the National Child Exploitation Coordination Centre and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in an effort to determine the exact location and identity of the victim.
