Winnipeg Man Arrested on Child Porn Charges
In January of 2016 Swiss police from Zurich and Aargau,Switzerland were investigating the distribution of child pornography. It was determined during their investigation that an unknown person from a Winnipeg IP address was distributing files containing child pornography.
Winnipeg Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit was contacted by Swiss officials and continued the investigation which lead them to search a home on Renfrew Street in River Heights in late March. Computers were seized and police found numerous videos and pictures of child pornography.
Thursday May 5 police arrested Andrew Harrison, 36. He has been charged with Possession of Child Pornography,Access any Child Pornography,
Imports, Distributes, Sells, or Possesses for the Purpose of Distribution or Sale any Child Pornography, Bestiality.
Harrison was remanded into custody
