A 43-year-old Winnipeg man faces multiple firearms-related charges following an incident at an apartment complex on Kennedy Street late Sunday night.
On February 23, 2025, at approximately 8:45 p.m., Winnipeg Police Service officers responded to reports from building security of a male in possession of a firearm at a building in the 300 block of Kennedy Street.
The Winnipeg Police Tactical Support Team (TST), along with Central District General Patrol officers, entered the building and located a male and female inside one of the apartment suites. Both were taken into custody without incident. During the arrest, officers seized a black airsoft pistol.
Anthony Earl Daniel ROSS, 43, of Winnipeg, has been charged for his alleged involvement with:
- Possession of a Weapon
- Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon, Firearm Part or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order (x2)
Ross was detained in custody.
A 21-year-old female, also from Winnipeg, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failing to comply with a probation order. She was released on an Appearance Notice as mandated by the Criminal Code.
