Winnipeg Police Service has arrested and charged a 29-year-old male after receiving a complaint that he was allegedly in contact online with a child under the age of 14.
On June 25, 2020, officers from the WPS Internet Child Exploitation Unit began an investigation for using the internet to lure a child.
Police say the suspect was posing as a 14-year-old boy and had been in contact with the child for over a month.
Officers conducted an undercover investigation and arrested the suspect on July 14, 2020.

Kenneth Dale Emerson from Winnipeg has been charged for his alleged involvement with two counts of Adult Luring a Person Under 16 Years od Age by Means of Telecommunication.
He was released on a recognizance pending trial.
