The city has lifted the extended snow route parking ban which restricted parking between midnight and 7:00 am. The ban was put into place early Friday morning to enable snow clearing along those routes.
Snow routes are currently under the annual parking ban that restricts parking between 2:00 am and 7:00 am daily. The annual snow route parking ban remains in place until March 1, 2021.
Vehicles parked on snow routes overnight risk being ticketed ($100) or towed.
Snow routes are priority routes for snow clearing operations and ice control to enable emergency vehicles like police, fire and ambulances to respond quickly around Winnipeg.
