WINNIPEG HARVEST BOSS SET TO RETIRE

David Northcott calls it quits

It’s the end of an era at Winnipeg Harvest. After more than 30 years at the helm of the local food bank David Northcott is stepping down as head of the organization.

Northcott began with Harvest in 1984 and was critical to the development of the organization.

His reason for stepping down is one to be admired. He wants to spend more time with family while he is still healthy enough to to do that. Eight years ago he survived a heart attack and said that over the last few years a number of close friends had passed away.

Northcott’s last day will be June 30th. Kate Brenner has been appointed interim executive director and will take over the role on July 1, 2017
