Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) crews responded to a significant fire at a vacant house in the 400 block of Alfred Avenue early Saturday morning.
At approximately 7:10 a.m. on February 22, 2025, WFPS personnel arrived at the scene to find heavy smoke and flames emanating from the structure.
Firefighters successfully brought the fire under control at 9:01 a.m. Emergency crews conducted a thorough search of the premises. No occupants were found inside the vacant home, and no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the WFPS. Authorities are working to determine the origin and circumstances surrounding the blaze.
