A 57-year-old delivery driver was assaulted and his vehicle was nearly stolen in the early hours of March 1st, 2025, according to the Winnipeg Police Service.
Officers responded to a call at approximately 4:31 a.m. regarding a potential break-in and a car horn sounding in the first 100 block of Montcalm Crescent. Upon arrival, North District General Patrol officers found two men engaged in a physical altercation inside a parked vehicle.
Police investigation revealed that the 57-year-old male, a delivery driver, had been assaulted in the upper body by a 23-year-old male suspect, who then attempted to steal the driver’s vehicle. The victim sustained minor injuries during the assault.
Following the intervention, Joshua Joseph Hepner, 24, was arrested and charged for his alleged involvement with Robbery. He was detained in custody.
