The Winnipeg Comedy Festival, originally scheduled for the end of April, has been rescheduled due to concerns over COVID-19 say organizers.
“We had a great festival lined up for the end of April, but now’s the time for the community to come together by remaining apart,” says Artistic Director Dean Jenkinson. “It’s our hope we can physically come together to laugh in a few months.”
The new dates for the festival are August 23-29, 2020.
Organizers expect most of the talent roster to remain the same.
“We’re looking forward to bringing some great comedy shows to Winnipeggers just as soon as we are safely able to,” said Executive Director Nick Kowalchuk.
