The all-clear was sounded shortly after 2:30 pm after the James Richardson International Airport in Winnipeg was evacuated due to an unattended bag in the departures area.

The incident began around 1:30 pm on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, someone reported the unattended bag which prompted the departures area to be evacuated.

RCMP took control of the situation and established that the bag was in fact non-threatening.

Travelers were delayed about an hour according to the airport
RCMP continue to investigate the incident but airport operations have returned to normal.
