Two arrested and charged with trafficking meth
Winkler Police Service have taken two drug traffickers of the streets of their city XXX km south of Winnipeg.
After an investigation that started in February police nabbed the suspects in a traffic stop in the early morning hours of March 16, 2017.
Winkler Police officers with help from neighbouring Morden Police stopped a Honda Civic believed to be transporting methamphetamine into Winkler for the purpose of trafficking. Both occupants of the vehicle were arrested and a search found methamphetamine, several different types of prescription drugs and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
A 27-year-old female from Winkler is facing charges of Possess Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Possess Morphine for her alleged involvement
A 26-year-old male from Winkler is facing charges of Possess Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possess Morphine, Possess Property Obtained by Crime, and Mischief over $5000 in relation to damage caused to a patrol car while in custody for his alleged involvement
Both suspects will appear in Court in April.
