RCMP are investigating a single-vehicle rollover that claimed the life of a 20-year-old Winkler male.
Police say that around 5:15 pm on June 2, 2022 they responded to the collision on Road 19 North in the RM of Roland. When officers arrived they found the vehicle on its roof in a spillway and submerged in water.
The lone occupant of the vehicle was extricated by the local fire department but had already succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators believe that the vehicle was travelling east when it angled into the ditch, hit a spillway and flipped. The driver was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the collision and alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the collision.
