Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) responded in force to an incident on the street in the William Whyte neighbourhood just after 8:00 pm on Saturday, July 8, 2023.
Neighbours looked on as the heavy police presence spanned two separate blocks.
During the incident officers were seen around a stroller containing an infant with no other caregiver in sight.
A spokesperson for the WPS said that the incident was domestic-related and they won’t be releasing any other information. One person was transported to hospital in an unknown condition.
