A 73-year-old woman has been arrested and is facing charges of Second Degree Murder after police found her  85-year-old husband dead in their home.

Police say that they were called to a complex in the  1700 block of Henderson Highway Saturday morning, July 21, 2018, to check on the well-being of the elderly man.

That is when officers discovered the body.

Homicide detectives say that on the evening of July 15, 2018, the husband and wife were involved in an argument which escalated into the male being stabbed in the upper body.

Police have identified the victim as Hans George Scheppner. His wife Anne-Dore Maria Scheppner was detained in custody.
