Winnipeg Police are investigating a serious assault in the city’s West End.
Police say that just after 7:00 am on Sunday, October 7, 2018 police were called to the Ellice Avenue and McGee Street area for the report of an assault.
When they arrived they found a male in his 20s suffering from stab wounds.
Paramedics transported the victim to hospital in critical condition but his condition is now reported as stable.
The Major Crimes Unit is leading the investigation and is looking for anyone with information about the assault to come forward.
