Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service is investigating the cause of an early morning fire in the 500 block of Balmoral Street.
Crews were called to the two-storey structure around 4;25 am on Wednesday, July 15, 2020.

When firefighters arrived on the scene they encountered heavy flames. A defensive attack was launched until the flames were knocked down. Crews then transitioned to an offensive attack until the fire was declared under control at 4:59 am.
A search of the home confirmed there was no one inside.
The cause of the investigation is under investigation.
