If you love falling snow during the holidays then your wish will be fulfilled. Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Christmas day.
The national weather forecaster says that an intense Colorado low may significantly impact most of southern Manitoba on Christmas and Boxing Day.
A massive storm is tracking across the northern states and it is expected to spread across parts of southern Saskatchewan and Most of southern Manitoba. Snow will be heavy at times and strong winds are likely to develop which would lead to reduced visibilities in blowing snow and possible blizzard conditions.
The storm is expected to dump up to 30 cm with possible higher amounts along the Canada/U.S. border
If you are planning traveling this holiday weekend it is advisable to check your local weather forecast and road conditions.
