Environment Canada has ended a Severe thunderstorm watch in effect for City of Winnipeg and surrounding area 

Earlier in the day they had put out the following:

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts.

Thunderstorms have begun to develop and will continue into the late evening period.

The main hazards with these thunderstorms will be locally heavy rainfall and large hail.

Tonight –Mainly cloudy. 60 percent chance of showers or thunderstorms this evening and after midnight with risk of a severe thunderstorm. Wind southeast 20 km/h becoming light early this evening. Low 16.

Tue, 12 Jul – Cloudy. Showers beginning early in the morning. Risk of a thunderstorm. Wind becoming south 20 km/h then southwest 40 gusting to 60 early in the afternoon. High 23. Humidex 27. UV index 3 or moderate.
Night – Showers. Risk of a thunderstorm in the evening. Wind southwest 30 km/h gusting to 60 becoming northwest 30 before morning. Low 16.
