Weapons seized as police executed two separate drug warrants

Winnipeg police have arrested several people after they executed two separate Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrants on Wednesday, February 7, 2018.

In both raids officers located and seized firearms.

In an afternoon raid in the 100 block of Baylor Avenue officers seized a sawed-off shotgun and various kinds of ammunition along with cocaine, a digital scale and what police say looks like methamphetamine.

Two people were arrested and are facing a number of Weapon and drug charges.

Lewis Jordan Starr,34 from Winnipeg, has been charged for his alleged involvement with:
– Possession of a Prohibited Ammunition Knowing its Poss is Unauthorized
– Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Knowing its Poss is Unauthorized
– Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations
– Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
– Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition
– Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order (x3)
– Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
He was detained in custody.
A 25-year-old female from Winnipeg has been charged for her alleged involvement with:
– Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon (x2)
– Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations
– Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition
– Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
– Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
She was released on a Promise to Appear.
In the second raid in the 400 block of Kennedy Street police seized a .22 calibre rifle and a .22 calibre cartridge inside a magazine.
Corey Hart, 32 from Winnipeg has been charged for his allegedinvolvement with:
– Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations
– Possession of a Weapon
– Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order
– Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
– Possession of a Prohibited Ammunition Knowing its Poss is Unauthorized
– Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition
– Possession of a Firearm Obtained by Crime
– Tampering with Serial Number of a Firearm
– Possession of a Firearm Knowing Serial Number has been Tampered With
– Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance by Judge/Justice (x2)
Myron Creed Bison Tanner, 26 from Portage La Prairie, has been charged for his alleged involvement with:
– Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance by Judge/Justice (x2)
They were both detained in custody.
