Winnipeg Police are investigating a firearms-related incident that occurred just after 1:00 am on Sunday, November 7, 2021, in the downtown area.
Police were on scene at Smith Street and York Avenue and St Mary Avenue and Garry Street after multiple loud bangs were heard. Witnesses tell News 4 that it sounded like five gunshots.
Officers were searching the ground along Smith Street as others interviewed people who had gathered outside a local bar.
Police say that there were no reported injuries and no arrests have been made at this time.
The investigation continues.
