Multiple weapons found on customer refusing to leave restaurant

Winnipeg Police have a 29-year-old male in custody after officers were asked to escort him out of an Isabel Street restaurant.

Around 7:30 am on Friday, January 18, 2019, officers happened to be at the restaurant for an unrelated matter when employees asked them to intervein and help remove a man who was refusing to leave.

As police approached the male they spotted a knife and placed him under arrest. A search uncovered a number of other weapons including an improvised firing device and a “dart” like object as well as a small quantity of meth.

Adam Michael Edward Forget from Winnipeg is facing a number of drug, weapon and property crime offences for his alleged involvement.

He was detained in custody.
