A 40-year-old man is facing more than a dozen charges after police say he was acting suspiciously near Furby Street and Bannatyne Avenue on Monday night, January 7, 2019.
Officers stopped the man and as they tried to identify him he gave police a false name. Officers found out his true identity after running a computer check and learned he was wanted on an outstanding warrant for breaching his probation.
As he was being taken into arrest the suspect lifted up his shirt and grabbed the handle of what turned out to be a machete tucked in his pants. Both officers drew their weapons and ordered the suspect to put up his hands.
The suspect complied and was taken into custody.
A search of the accused netted officers a machete,

- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
- Possess Prohibited Weapon Contrary to Probation Order x 4
- Warrant of Arrest
Parisian was detained in custody.
