Manitoba First Nations Police Service have arrested three people in connection to the raid on a Long Plain First Nation home on Wednesday, August 29, 2018.
Police say that a warrant was executed and officers found 16 grams of what they believe is Cocaine along with 19 grams of Marijuana. During the raid, a stolen prohibited firearm was also located and seized.
Jayden Bryce Meeches, 22 from Long Plain First Nation has been charged for his alleged involvement with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine, Possession of a Controlled Substance x 2, Possession of a Weapon Obtained by Crime, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Unsafe Storage of a Firearm and Failing to Comply with Court Orders x 3.
Hunter Blaze Kequahtooway, 20 from Long Plain First Nation has been charged for his alleged involvement with Possession of a Weapon Obtained by Crime, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Unsafe Storage of a Firearm and Failing to Comply with a Court Order.
Both suspects were detained in custody.
A third arrest on a female who was in the residence. She was charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine, Possession of a Controlled Substance x 2 and Failing to Comply with the Conditions of her Undertaking.
The female was released on a promise to appear in court.
